ABOUT
Sno Bro Kollectiv was founded in 2019 by two brothers, Ryan Tapert & Nels Garberg. Although they aren’t blood related, they might as well be. Their friendship started 18 years ago, back in 2001 when they both started playing in local Seattle bands and together on the worship team at their church. They remained friends through their early twenties and although they went their separate career paths, Ryan’s eventual marriage to Nels’ sister in 2012 officially formed them as brothers for life. With over two decades of marriage under their belts combined, a few kids and a handful of career changes later, Ryan and Nels find themselves with the perfect mix of passion, free-time and drive to create a business that both satisfies their creative cravings and supports an outlet to bring joy to others year in and year out.
Ryan Tapert
Ryan has been a professional touring/studio/session/live drummer and FOH engineer for the past 23 years. Having toured the country multiple times over in previous signed rock bands, Ryan has gained the experience and confidence needed to bring the perfect mix of excellence and fun to every event. He has also studied audio engineering, both for studio and live applications, in addition to music business, at Edmonds Community College, Northwest University and New Hope Christian College. Adding to his experience, over the past 10 years, Ryan has worked full/part time at a handful of local churches in the music and tech departments. Learning and honing his craft with the latest and greatest technologies for audio, lighting, media, video, live stream and stage design. DJ’ing events has always been something Ryan liked to do for fun on the side but doing it alone only brought so much satisfaction. Joining forces with his brother and best friend will only aid in their quest to bring the ultimate guest experience.
NELS GARBERG
From going to gig’s with his professional keyboard playing dad at an early age, to playing in multiple local bands, school and community orchestras, church worship teams, and even producing his own music, Nels has spent the better part of two decades in the music industry. He plays the guitar, bass, cello, upright bass and is very well versed in all DAW platforms for creating music. In addition to those experiences, he has also been involved in several recorded albums that have been released from local Washington artists. In 2018, Nels decided to try his hand at DJ services and began to invest in some equipment and spent his free time learning the ins and outs of that gear. Soon friends started to enlist Nels to spice up their parties and get togethers, and the rest is history. With his extensive knowledge of music, extreme personality, sense of humor and personal touch with playlists, your party is guaranteed to be the best event you and your guests have ever been too! Nels has always loved entertaining people, now doing so with Ryan will only continue to elevate his passions and dreams.
